Rebuilding Battlezone Joysticks

I'll ignore the obvious replies. ;-)

I'd use graphite, since they are plastic parts sliding against each other. Dunno what they were lubed with originalyl.
 
i believe iriginazlly they wer eleft dry.

grease would work temporarily but over time it would just attract more dirt..

i will +1 the graphite or some other kind of "dry" lubricant.(mabye like something with teflon in it?)
 
Cleaned up the joysticks. There is a difference in how they feel now.
I also installed the better looking CPO I bought at Eldorado Games, its not
perfect but looks considerably better.

What are these things made of, WWII bakelite? If you breath wrong, Crack!
