Reboot problem with NFL BLitz 2000 Gold/ NBA Showtime NBA on NBC Isolated to HD

We have a NFL Blitz 2000 Gold / NBA Showtime NBA on NBC game that is rebooting and I have isolated the problem to 13 corrupt files on the hard drive. I was able to get a hold of a chd called nbanfl.chd. I think this is for the NFL Blitz 2000/ NBA showtime game that was before the gold and nba on nbc versions. I have backed up the hard drive even though it has corrupt files and imaged the chd on to it. Before I put it it back into the machine, I thought I would ask here if someone had a chd for the gold/NBA on NBC version, or if there was somewhere I could buy a refurbished drive with the data already on it.

Thanks,
Justin Schweppe

Chips on NFL Blitz / NBA Showtime

Alright I looked at the chips, and I see three. Two have blank labels that look like they were ripped off of a larger label. I don't know if these had something written on them at some point, but they are blank now. The third says "494 Blitz 2000" and then underneath there is a barcode which reads *494400480*. I took some pictures with my phone, but they aren't the greatest. I can re-shoot with a digital camera if necessary.

Label on HD

I looked at the HD again and it has a label on it that says NFL Blitz 2000/ NBA Showtime 2000 1.5. Does this mean it should be the 1.5 version?

It Works!!!

Well I took the plunge based on the label on the hard drive and reimaged to the mame image and plugged the drive back in and lo and behold it fired up and is working without a problem. It says version 2 when it boots up.

Jschwepp, I've been trying to troubleshoot the restarting problem for a while, and I still can't figure it out. A new harddrive temporarily fixed my problem, but it would begin restarting again after a few months. How did you discover which 13 files files were bad?

Thanks!
