Yep this is a regular scene in front of my house. My garbage guys said they normally skip places like this - but said if I hook them each up with a mountain dew next time - they will pick up whatever I have out!

Too funny. We are allowed one large item each week. I have already helped them with 2 cabs, a dishwasher, and a couch. Gotta love being able to throw anything away.

What's wrong with that Kangaroo?

I got a crystal castles in a NICE Kangaroo cab - the cab on the curb is the Kangaroo cabinet that my Kangaroo game was in - it was pretty beat up on the sides (one worse than the other) so I took the Crystal Castles kit out of the NICE Kangaroo cab and put the Kangaroo guts from the Beat up cabinet in that nice cab. THe end result - I have a really nice Kangaroo - a Crystal Castles kit that I need a cabinet for - and the garbage guys got the crappy Kangaroo cab

Bummer, that's what the "free" section of craigslist is for. "Free arcade cabinets." People are always looking for them and they'll always take them off your hands. Heck, I SOLD a Pole position in similar condition for $20 bucks. It was going to the curb anyway. Guy came and picked it up the same day I posted the ad.

I can put out anything I want in the garbage. If it's really big, I have to call first and they charge me $10 extra - I've got an old piano I'm going to dump pretty soon, that's $10. Love those guys...

I wish I was as lucky as you. I put my old COCKtail cabinet (sorry, I really hate that thing lol) in the free section of craigslist at 10AM this morning and here it still sits at 6PM. I am almost willing to pay to get rid of it.

That is a waste. Just post "free arcade cabinets" in the free stuff section of craig's list and I'm sure someone will take them. Even if they are already on the curb, you can let people know that they need to get there before the garbage truck comes.

i wouldve paid $20 for that kangaroo cab and picked it up the same day.

I have a post on my local craigslist for a Free Arcade Cabinet and I have not had one call in 3 days now. My wife is on me to dispose of it so it might go to the trash friday. I thought for sure someone would pick it up for free. I guess I am wrong.

My garbage guys absolutely kick ass... NIGHT AND DAY from the lazy assholes who used to pick up the garbage in California. These guys actually get out of the truck and load shit up manually instead of relying on a machine... if they drop someting... THEY ACTUALLY PICK IT UP. I can shit can monitors, electronics, heavy shit... you name it. I've yet to stick ANYTHING out there that they didn't pick up.

Probably helps that I give `em a Christmas card with a Walmart/Target/Home Depot card each Christmas...

It depends on the area if posting to CL will work.

I've posted to CL and had to put up with some dude that drove a flat bed trailer 100 mi to pick up a cabinet. He gave me some cash for the coin door I would otherwise keep, but then poor-mouthed about some other pieces. I gave him a bunch of pinball odds and ends that I regretted doing after he acted like he didn't have enough for the CP and door he wanted.

I've got better luck just hauling full cabinets to the side of the road. If they sit more than a few days or get rained on, I bust 'em up for the trash man.

Its very easy to say - put it on craigslist - I would have paid 20 bucks...
I have tried that before and cabinets have sat here for weeks... no thanks - its gone - dont have to look at it - space is open again now.... done deal
