Hi all,

I have a House Of The Dead Deluxe. It's fully working except the green crt tube has pretty bad "insert coin" burn in on it and makes it terrible to play as it's very visible 100% of the time. I'm looking for a full set up to replace what's in there currently to get rid of that screen burn. The green tube is the worst, but the others aren't far behind. Currently it uses a Mitsubishi VS-50SE1J rear projection tv set up. The crt tubes have 11 pins on the neck. I've tried finding 11 pin crt tubes with no luck. It seems almost all tubes from rear projection tvs are 9 pin. Even picked up a couple rear projection tvs for free from people just to open them up and see if they had the correct tubes inside. No luck thus far.

Some sticker numbers on the yokes are 330P16407 on 2 of the tubes, 330P16408 on one of the tubes, that same sticker has the same number of 9740HS on all 3 of the tubes. Other than the VS- model number on the back panel there is also a number of 6671655. I have not removed a crt to see if there is another sticker under the yoke directly on the crt glass yet but nothing is visible with the crt still installed in the machine.

I've poked around on eBay and the net for the proper tubes and have no luck their either. Some sets out there but most will not reply or bother to check if they even have something with the 11 pins on the neck.

If anyone has a set up, or a green tube please let me know! Or, if you have another project game around with a rear projection tv set up in that is a parts machine and your within about 6 hours or less of Chicago, I'll grab the whole thing from you for parts.

There may have been a couple different projection tv models used in these, so also willing to make another model and all it's boards/tubes work as well, even if from a different game, as long as there is little to no screen burn. I know, tough!

Thanks!

I've got a rear projection tv from a friends house. The cables to the current rear projection monitor in the cabinet are red, green, blue, sync. These are BNC cables. I thought House Of The Dead was a medium res monitor in the "standard" style of cabinet, so assume that the game board wasn't modified for the rear projection monitor in the deluxe cabinet and any rptv will do that has the crts. The rptv I want to swap in to the machine has ypbpr hook up on the back, so I was thinking I would purchase a rgbs to scart cable (https://www.ebay.com/itm/192693867212) to go from the game board (board has BNC plugs) to this converter (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BJYZ8246/ref=pe_386300_440135490_TE_simp_item_image) and then run the ypbpr cable from the converter to the rptv i want to swap into the cabinet since I wouldn't have a clue how to attache the sync cable to the rptv boards I want to swap in.

Anyone see any potential downfalls to this situation or something that would be missing or better off?

Maybe it can be as simple as knowing where to connect r, g, b, and sync wires to on a different rear projection tv?

I really haven't been able to find any threads on someone who has actually done this project. Would love to hear from any that have!
