Rear projection convergence help, pulling my hair out

Picked up a sega touring car championship super cheap, i have been messing with the convergence and have had no luck here is what it is doing... The center will line up perfectly I get blue bleed at the edges, and red well red is a beast all in its own, with words on the screen it is low on the top and high on the bottom making it impossible to converge. There is no brand on the 3 tubes as this is a deluxe cabinet, hell I cant even find where the rgbSG cable is to plug in a converter to attempt to see if it is a board problem or tube problem. Im lost as this sega model 2 b/c is unlike anything i have ever had or worked on. Any thoughts or ideas would be amazing. If a monitor fix is not feasable or economical any direction as far as using a gonbes 8220 converter would be much appreciated as well

I have adjusted or tried using purity and convergence rings in case any one was wondering and I'm still baffled, could it need convergence strips maybe, I dunno I know nothing about rear projection crt s , any help, advice , anything would be great and much appreciated

you don't adjust the rings around the tube

shouldn't be touched.

cover over the red and blue tubes with a book.

green gun should be the only color you see

with the convergence grid up.

no outside signal pattern needed.

green has to be the model image. and red and blue are adjusted to green.

green is your template for the advanced convergence.

This age the convergence ics should be bad.

you may have made it much worse moving the rings on each tube.

have to see what you got.

what chassis is it, I may know based on the era of game but whats it say

on the RPTV back???

photos, any help is much appreciated

FYI its a sega touring car championship deluxe cabinet using the sega model 2c

Alright so I figured out how to get just 3 straight lines for each color to appear in the middle, the red line would.not straighten out and bowed up on one side and down on the other and the line would always be blurred , green would always show 2 lines as would blue, can identify the monitor brand so I can try and find parts as I'm thinking the ics are shot , any help would be amazing , thanks to all who have helped so far

What's the type of projection? Do you have the remote needed to fine tune the convergence? The convergence Ics might need replacing, as you mentioned.

Need to put the rings back where they were, on the white line.

the Ics are on the big ass heat sink.

Replace them both.

Look at the standup resistors around 1 watt for any open.

that would be the supply voltage to them, if needed.

Looks like a Toshiba chassis.

Need green grid up and confirm all lines are straight and the focus is good.

its in the front a focus for each tube.

theres a screen pot for each tube as well.

Do one at a time covering the other two.

until all three are correct after you replace the ics.

remove ics and look at the number on it

STK something.

need to clean off old heat paste and add new..

Good Luck!

latest update, found the ICS circuits they re still available and only 10 each shipped, unfortunately no one around here is willing to do the repairs as my soldering skills are well lets just say well below average, so I found a model 2c pin out, hooked up a gbs converter and now im running a 40 " tv as my new monitor. Thanks for all the help and I will eventually get the monitor fixed... hopefully
