REALLY? What do you guys think of this?

huh. i was unaware that there is a version with trackballs instead of "run" buttons. i don't know how that effects game play, so i have no idea if it's a desirable option.

$250 for a working T&F is a decent if not good price, though i'll agree that cab is pretty beat. looks like a candidate for a restore, though replacing that CPO is going to be rather difficult.

Huh?

Yea..it look like a weird conversion of some sort, but I haven't checked KLOV for different cabinet types.

Maybe someone else out there can shine some light on what kind of cab that is??

Its interesting to say the least...maybe someone will pick it up and tell us about it :)

Found it

Yea...KLOV shows the trackball cab...it says that later versions of the cab add trackball's...I remember playing it as a kid with the run buttons only..we would take our wallets out and rub them really fast across the run buttons to make our guy run faster..LOL..it was a total cheat..

Huh? I wonder how the gameplay changes too, with the trackballs...guess I could contact the person selling it and ask..if I get curious enough

yes, there was two versions. trackballs and buttons. cabinet doesnt look to bad but with those pictures, who knows. $250 doesnt sound bad at all.

Overpriced

I actually contacted the guy who is selling it. I think it is overpriced considering you would have to do quite a bit of work to make it look decent. Plus, finding that CPO would be hard.

The guy who is selling it is a jerk too. I was trying to just give him some advice and he thought I was lowballing him. I don't even want that cabinet.

Laserguy: I wouldn't pay more than $200 for it. Sounds like you interested...

Just my two cents..

Not really..

Mike,

I am not really interested in it. Like I said, I played it as a kid but I was never a HUGE fan. But, it might be cool to own it. I don't have $2.50 right now though, let alone $250...LOL

I have bad memories of the trackball version of this game. I used to play it at an arcade by my high school at lunch and kept getting the sides of my hand/fingers pinched between the ball and the control panel as I'd roll that damn ball! I want to own a Track and Field(and a Hyper Sports) one day, but will only get the button version.

If it works it's a very fair price.

EDIT: I just noticed it was the trackball version. $150-$200 at best... and I'd convert that bastage back to buttons.

I agree..

Fred,

Yea..I think $150-175 is pretty fair for that machine...and I agree about the trackball switching out..
