I grew up in OH and have been to Zanesville many times. The whole story is sad and supposedly the authorities were trying to shut this guy down but why did it take so long? This had been an ongoing thing for years and the guy was even in jail last year.
Ohio has very lax animal laws, why do you think Mike Tyson had a mansion there with tigers? He couldn't do it anywhere else. I am very pro-animal but policeman really had no choice at the time. Their job is to protect and serve and that is what they did and did a very good job at that.
My question which I haven't heard answered yet, what about the giraffe? Did they drop him? You wouldn't think they wouldn't be much danger but then again I have never tried to catch one.
