I just received my bill validator and will start installing it on my 60-in-1 cocktail arcade.
I will post pictures of the process if anyone is interested.
I have not seen or heard of many cocktail arcade with a bill validator.
I have the three door coin door from suzo happ and will install the validator in the
ticked dispenser part of the third door.

Do you need a coin door that's ready to have the validator bolted on? I have one if you need it. It's the full coindoor and not just the third door. Just like yours but has a cutout for a validator with a plate covering it.

The coin door I have is new. I wouldn't mind getting the third door with a cutout already in it if that was available. Mine has the ticket cutout in it now. Do you have a picture of yours?
I will have to cut a hole in mine for the validator and use a mounting kit to install it. what is the best way to cut the hole ? with a grinder ? or a dremel ? I don't want to over heat it and ruin the finish.

Wow, that door would make my life more simple ? I wonder if I could purchase just the door ?

Happ Controls sells just the door with a bill validator cutout that you could trade for the one in your door now.

Happ # 42-3536-00 (Entropy # 310-1009) TD w/ Downstacker Cutout $41.05

That will fit your downstacker bill acceptor perfectly.

Probably. Is that an Entropy door? Try calling Happ Controls if so.

Yes it's a Entropy door. I found a replacement door for the downstacker validator that i have at Suzohapp.com

I am going to place the order for it now, thanks for the post and the info, the new door will make it easier for me and will have a much better look than one I have to cut up.

Well, wouldn't you know..the door is not available according to the web site when i place the order. I'm waiting on a call back from suzo happ to see if they can special order it.
I can't locate the door anywhere but suzo happ.
The Entropy part number is 310-1009 and the Suzo Happ part number is 42-3536-00 if anyone else can locate one.

I've had quite a few people ask me to install dbv's to original Pac/ Ms Pac/ Galaga/ etc. cocktails (sometimes as 60-in-1 conversions and others as original games) so they could run them on location and haven't had the luxury of finding a compatible coin door. So - I've had to cut out a spot to the right or left of the coin door (not my cab) and mount it.

Your problem will be if the DBV sticks back far enough to interfere with the monitor neck as the top closes. I've had to mount them to the left and right of the coin door because of that danger...

You could hack a Midway door to mount a stackerless bill acceptor.

I have a lcd monitor so that wont be a problem. What did you cut the door with?

I know this question derails the thread a bit, but how do the bill validators work for notifying the game of how much money is put in? For example, if you're doing $0.25 games, do you set up the bill validator to send four pulses to Coin 1 when a dollar goes through it?
