Finally Finally!!! My Reactor is done! A while back I posted about finishing the cabinet - but I am happy to say after just about EVERY possible gremlin has been worked out of this machine - it is fully working and done!
Here are some of the details of the restoration process.

When I bought it - the game had been converted, but I stripped it apart and got started.

After all the normal bondo and prep work - the cabinet was primed and sanded and ready for paint. My dad who is the expert painted did the honors for me... Started with the black kickplate and inner edges.

Next I turned my attention to the control panel.
Thankfully the only real issue with it was 4 new screw holes drilled in it. So I welded those up and powder coated the panel. Then applied the new overlay and put it back together.

Next I worked on the marquee / speaker panel. There were some holes drilled in the corners so I used bondo to fill those and replaced the plexi panel in the middle.

Started to piece the whole machine back together.
After that I got the game working. This was a challenge as the game was missing just about everything once it was converted.

Unbelieveable how similar our Reactors looks...yours changed meanwhile but they will look like twins soon again :)
