Re: Whitewater Home LH6?

Hello all,

I have read in several places that it is very advantageous to update the Whitewater ROM to the "Home LH6" version.

I was wondering how to check what version of ROM is in the machine. And, then, if it is not the Home LH6 version, where does one find one for installation? I saw the ROM listed on IPDB, but without an EPROM burner what does one do?

Thanks everyone!

When you turn it on it should show what version you have. Also, it should have a sticker on the ROM itself. I got my LH6 from John, it's under $10 and he ships quickly.

Hello!

Thank you! I will check when I get home as to the ROM number listed upon start up. If it is not LH6 I will look up John at store you noted.

Thanks again!

Hello all,

I had a chance to look at my Whitewater and it was a Rev. L3, thus it could indeed use the updated ROM to LH6. Also, my Bride of Pinbot is at a Rev. L4 and needs to get to an L7. Thus both have a ways to go. I will indeed have to update...

Thanks again everyone!!!

It has some improvements, but be aware that it is FREE PLAY ONLY which killed it for me. I never got LH5 or LH6 for that reason (I use tokens for all my games).

The ball saver would have been nice though. Whitewater is a brutal game for the kids, they can't even get the ball launched and in play without losing it.
