I got my 6 different cap kits from Bob and will likely be tackling a G07 tonight. It's been a while (over 2 years) since i recapped a G07...it was my first. I do remember that (A) there is a capacitor that needs to be discharged on the board as it will give you a nasty bite... which one is it (the big filter cap?)... and (B) I think i remember that the polarity of one of the caps is mislabeled on the chassis... which is that?

Any other tips/suggestions?

Thanks!

1. yes, it is the filter cap
2. C302 is screened correctly on the top of the board and incorrectly on the bottom of the board.

Just check for cold and crack solder joints around vert. outputs, flyback. carefull when tipping chassis over and putting pressure on board it usually is resting on the width coil and they tend to break the top off.

Fine entertainment indeed... take your time and check polarity on the caps. Do the pots while your at it!?
