An acquaintance of mine paid for a restoration of his cabinet. He isn't too happy with the results. It took 12 months and cost $950 (for two cabinets). Have you ever seen such shoddy work?

Appreciate the detailed pics but can you get some actual pictures of the game? I don't even know what the hell I'm looking at. $950 for two full game restos is pretty cheap. 12 months seems like an excessively long time though and if those are the results, did this person even know what they were doing? Do they actually restore arcade games as a business or did they just say they could? The price, the length of time, the amount of games, the shitty workmanship, none of it makes sense.

Side art and control panel vinyl were supplied by the customer. He was shocked at the results. I mean look at the filth on the cable. Dude couldn't have even just run a damp cloth over it?

One of the games is Double Dragon. Not sure what the second one is.

I know that people always have high expectations for restos of cars, games, etc. But, I will admit that the vinyl edges do look like they were chewed on by a gator.

Don't know what I'm looking at but it looks terrible. $950 is too cheap but thats not an excuse. I can't even find someone to mow my lawn decently so I can't imagine finding someone to work on my games.

Its like he cut the vinyl with kiddie scissors or was holding a knife like a drumstick.

How could this have been done correctly? The cabinet is swollen from water. Did the buyer expect the restoration to include a new cabinet? This concept was a failure before it even started. It's also not fair for us to judge the restoration without hearing the agreement made by the people involved.
