When testing a monitor does the video connection (RGB/Sync/etc) need to be connected to check the monitor for power? Even with this disconnected shouldn't I at least get raster and neck glow?

The reason I ask - I have a dead Polo 33". No neck glow. Fuse is good. Going to check voltages tomorrow. :(

Some few newer monitors won't power up without a video signal applied, but I don't think the Polo is one of those.

You should be able to turn up the brightness and see raster...

didn't have a cable plugged in the right spot! duh.

well the monitor is kicking on now but, i still have vertical collapse. I checked the voltage at TP31 and it's 26VDC. I messed with the remote board and noticed some flickering. I may have a bad pot or something. More testing tomorrow.
