Hey guys,

I got a Rastan board, and I'm having a few issues with it. Some tiles are glitched on it and after cleaning the PCB and connectors I figured I've got maybe a mask rom or game rom issue.

Unfortunately, I made the mistake of not drawing a little diagram and forgot the proper placement of the mask roms for reseating. The PCB's markings aren't yielding me any results either.

So of course its even worse now, thanks to that.

Does anybody own a Rastan PCB or have a nice high res scan of a board or schematics so I can undo my stupid mistake? Anybody that saves me from this is my best friend forever..

Also, does Rastan require a -5v line? I added one to my gun before, Im just curious if it does.

Dude, is this the board I sold you? I plugged it into my jamma cab before I shipped it and it seemed fine... only played it for a few minutes, though. Would a close up pic of the board help? I may have one still on my camera. I'll help any way I can, or refund your $$ if you want... Let me know.

Here's the highest res photo I have:

As far as the -5, the jamma cab I tested the board in was wired for both +5 and -5...

while I would not want to be quoted as an expert.
My personal experience is the games that NEED the -5 are typically
the jamma games with sound boards.

someone who knows if I am wrong will correct me I am sure. :O)

Yes its the board I bought from you, I've taken all the proper precautions with static and everything. That picture helps a lot, can you post it higher res?

I dont want my money back yet or anything, Im going to fix the mask ROMs first, reseat the game ROMs, and try again, if still no go Ill put it in test mode.

Thank you for the help guys!

Okie dokie, double checked everything and no go.. so here is the result on the test mode:

Looks like one/some of IC's are dead, shoot. I was super careful and was grounded with a static wrist strap when I handled the board, and my Supergun is very well built, no troubles with any other boards.. not sure what happened.

I guess I need a refund :(

Rastan does require -5v to work. I had a Punch-Out cab with a Nichibutsu Terra Force jamma board with defective sound in it, so I decided to turn it into Rastan, But I had to hardwire the -5v pins on the board to the switcher for it to work first.
