Putting together a Rastan soon. Anybody ever see a dedicated one or are they all kits? Also, any side art? What does your Rastan look like?

Thx

I believe it was only a kit. A conversion that seems most fitting is in a classic Taito cab (same company).

Gozer created a Google sketchup for it. I don't think there was sideart for it, at least I've never seen it before. I think he just took the art from the flyer and placed it.

Poor conversion, but you get the idea:

I'm pretty sure it was just a kit.

In my opinion, Rastan wants to be in a Williams-style cabinet like Joust or Moon Patrol. They made a plastic Rastan bezel that was a perfect fit for these cabs.

I don't there there was ever any official side art. I always thought a Williams-style stencil design would have looked cool.

Rastan in Firefox cabinet. Soooooooooooooo sweeweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. (Kidding.)

When I was a kid in the 80s, Rastan taught me that I had *just* missed frequenting the arcade when the golden age classics had been popular.

It was seeing burn-in from games like Zoo Keeper, Robotron, and Elevator Action eerily showing up as "ghosts" amongst Rastan's colorful in-game backgrounds that got me interested in the hobby...

Nope it came dedicated in a Nintendo cab...:D

I remember playing Rastan back in the days in a EA/JK/JH Taito style cabs.

I love the rastan control panel art. I kinda wished there was a dedicated version that had sideart to match the cpo. Im really not sure why they didnt, it turned out o be a great game.

It was a good game. I've been wanting one for a long time. The only one I've ever come across was so water soaked it wasn't salvageable. I have a board and thought it would work in my Karnov, since they're both Jamma but the buttons didn't work right. I've never taken the time to compare pinouts.

Kit only. Mine is in a moon patrol, and I think its an ideal cab because the in the taito you need to cut off most of the cpo artwork. I was going to make some sideart, but probably nothing like you'll do!

Rastan is the only game that I think works and plays right on those multi taito pcbs.. As the rest of the games have been changed for the horizontal screen or just are off a bit.

Rastan is one of my grail games. In the 80's I would dump a ton of quarters in this game. This was the very first arcade game I have ever purchased and I will never part with it. Mine is in a Wizard of War Cabinet and I never did get the side art for it but everything works great! Love this Game!

I even brought it to CAX where Rastan himself was playing it when I took this picture :)

LOL I honestly think I've had a Rastan in every cabinet ever made at least one time. Never saw sideart for one.

I think the worst one was a converted Asteroids. Or a Nintendo cab.
