Rarest Playchoice game ever?

I certainly hope it's a joke, because who would bid that kind of money for an auction with just two horribly low-rez photo's. Yea, nice gameplay footage, that title screen looks like something i'd make in MSPaint. I hope those people bidding are either part of an April Fools joke, or live around there and went to see the physical copy.

Sounds feasible, I suppose. I remember Capcom testing games up here at the Sunnyvale Golfland. I played a variation of SFII I have never seen anywhere else. This was right before SFII' came out.

He says his cousin gave him stuff from Sunsoft. I wonder what else he has? I wonder if I can go check it out.

This guy is an absolute clown. He sold me what I thought was a grail but turned out to be a gold plated turd. :D

Well, if it is an April Fool's gag, they won't have to pay up, and if it isn't, they will own a really rare game. I suppose the whole thing could be a scam while not being an April Fool's joke. I noticed that Tom said he was going to check it out, I guess we'll know more after that.

I love Blaster Master, it would be cool to see a previously undiscovered game in the series! I've been playing BM Overdrive from the WiiWare, and it's hard as hell. I'm just not very good at it :(

lmao!!!!!!!!!!!!

Untested as well. Read the Q&A - it says the screenshot is from a NES cart, not the PC cart as he doesn't have equipment to test it.

Well I met the guy and saw the cart / paperwork / etc...

Most of the paperwork is in Japanese. There is hand written locations, dates and notes for what I assume is the testing of the game.

I wonder if the winning bidder will come thru with the cash!

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but if Sunsoft really "kept" track of their items, they wouldn't have been tossing stuff from the US offices when they closed down. I was there when the place was going under and obtained a LOT of development stuff.

I going to say this is fake. Given the stuff I said before and because of the type of board it is on. That short board would be for the UNROM mapper games and I just looked to see that the original Blaster Master uses the MMC1 mapper. And by 1990 (date under title on the board) most NES games used an advanced mapper.

We'll see what happens, should be interesting, I asked Sunsoft for pictures of there original 9 boards, should be interesting. If it's a prank, it's a great one, incredible coordination.

Well I just got pictures and they aren't the same as the auction(ie. they didn't just send me the auction pics), but they match the way the cartridge looks. I have the weekend off, flights to CA are only about 450, might be worth validating it, if it's realy I might snipe the auction....

This is as bad as Stadium Events
