Since no one wanted to buy the 4 Mega Techs I was sitting with that I listed here back in June when I was trying to clear the old warehouse, I was able to make TWO nice ones (one sold right away for $1399 last week) and the one in the below pictures is for my Cabaret collection. I have one complete one in the warehouse to sell down the road. The remaining empty cabinet I sold.
I didn't realize how nice this cabinet was! 8 games plug in--similar to Playchoice. I have, it seems 18 different games---a few doubles and triples. There was only one Moonwalker--but it is actually pretty good--playing Smooth Criminal in the background. Game has true stereo sound. 19" screen on bottom and 9 inch screen on top! The Golden Axe is pretty good too! Very few of these were imported...its sad, as its a easy to move cabinet with large panels that open up. Anyway, thought you all might like to see these pix!

I don't suppose any of the 18 games are Fantasy Zone II? IF so, please PM me.

very cool machine todd :)

thanks for sharing those picks man.

also, was this a import machine? dont remember seeing these in the arcades back in the day. chris

Yes...it was ONLY handled by one distributor in the USA who had the exclusive for Sega Japan...he sold them new for $5000 each---they cam with bill acceptor. I remember seeing one in a local diner and gushing over it...but it was too rich for my blood (to be vended) in 1986.
I was offered these four machines I think some 8 years ago from another KLOVER...I paid over $1200 for the 4 and they remained wrapped in plastic until June when I was moving from that warehouse. At the time, I though they had no boards or monitors in them---but three were fully complete and pretty much working.
The two I just ran through the shop both had over 100,000 clicks on the meter...so they eached grossed $25,000 for their owners (typical split was 50%--so they got $12,500 their half). Never saw the meter on the one we sold empty...other game is in warehouse complete but untouched.

Very cool! I've never seen one or heard of it either! That Moonwalker isn't like the dedicated arcade version, it looks like the Genesis one I remember as a kid...

Those must be rare as hell over here in the states, you'd think in 4 years of solid KLOV I would have at least heard of the machine!

I looked on the Klov and there is a 1989 Sega Mega Tech which is what I have and they mention a Sega Mega Play with a 25 inch monitor made in 1993...and it has different game packs...but it looks the same...that one probably never got over to the states!
