Rare Red Barons!! Whats your rarest Arcade??

My Firefox. Its not rare because they didn't make a lot of them. It's rare because it works. I would venture 100 or less survive in working condition.

Super Pacman cocktail would be my rarest. I have no idea how many were made, but I almost never see them other than the one on ebay that's been there for months. Would like to know how many were built.

I'd have to say my Red Baron cockpit. The production number I always hear thrown around for them is 508 (odd number I know).

My games:
Trog: rarest production game(not counting kits)

Joust pinball or Quantum: Rarest production game

Kit red barron is cool(have one), but If you want to go really rare, there is the dedicated upright red barron..

Now thats a cool picture. Thats a Red Baron Prototype WOW!! looks like 3 were made!!

The Red Baron upright cabinet production units is in fact the same as a Battlezone and many Battlezone were converted into Red Barons in the factory with the Battlezone artwork still under the Red Baron artwork. A limited amount was also built in a Cockpit and a Cabaret (Mini) version. So Red Barons released in Battlezone cabs are dedicated, but I sure would love to find a Prototype!!

Funny the manual I found in mine is mint, but its marked Cabaret. Does anyone own, or have pictures of a Cabaret Red Baron?

My 1972 MCI Blue Max. I've yet to find another surviving example owned by anyone. Most of these
were produced as Super Red Barons so I'm assuming there were fewer of these to start
with plus this one is marked Pat Pending so it is likely early in the production run.

I also have a Joust cocktail - approx. 500 or so.

Friend also has a Red Baron cockpit.

And I might have the only 10-Yd-Fight-'85-in-a-painted-green-Berzerk-cab known to man (thank goodness)....

Oh yeah. And I don't know how many were made, but see below as to what is currently in my gameroom (not mine - yet). No reference on the arcade flyer, and no reference on KLOV. In fact, I didn't know one existed until I picked it up to try to fix it....

Joust cocktail - 500
Tempest cocktail - 1663
And the newest acquisition I will not mention until it's in my possession. :004_ssmile:

BTW, I got both cocktails locally and within a week of each other.

Here's a site with a list of Atari production numbers. This one says 504 were made, but I'm not sure where they got the info.

http://marvin3m.com/video/atari.htm

Those numbers were taken from the documents that I picked up from Atari employee who sold me all of his test equipment and service documents. The production numbers were contained in a folder of confidential documents.

When Atari finally closed down for good, I picked up the entire contents of their library. At that time another copy with some later 80's and early 90's production numbers was also found.

You can view the actual documents that the data was pulled from at http://www.atarigames.com or you can search google for my original Rec.games.video.arcade.collecting post in 2000.
