Rare or Super Rare? Just Picked Up Original Dedicated Triple Punch

Okay, so I just got what looks to be the original dedicated Triple Punch. It's in really nice shape as well. The person I bought it from said she had owned it for 18 years and it was kept in her house for the entire time, save the past month when it was garaged. She said the person she bought it from purchased it brand new and kept it in her house as well. Crazy.

Here are the pictures:

I don't have the key to get to the monitor, so I'm probably going to have one made (I could most likely make one myself, but I don't have the time.) I need to get under there and clean it. Only the the first of each button is lighting up, so I also need to check that as well.

The glass covering the monitor has a few moderately deep scratches that need to be polished and buffed out and I need to clean the sides of the cab a little bit, but it overall looks fantastic to me.

Are there any other examples out there of this cabinet design? I scoured the net and couldn't find anything. KLOV only has this cab design in a scan, presumably from the original flyer.

Thanks guys!

I had one, but it was a 12 in 1 game. It didn't work so I never got to play it. It was all dedicated and factory though, in that cabinet. I believe the games were probably just puzzle games or trivia games, though, it wasn't like 12 classic games or anything. I can't remember what it was called, it may have actually been called "12 in 1".

The bezel unlocks at the top, and the whole piece folds forward, so you can get to the joystick and buttons. The joystick was pretty chintzy I thought, but the cabinet was kind of a cool design.

Had one too. Hated the cabinet, game is mediocre. Couldn't sell it for $100, wound up giving it away. On the short list of games I don't regret getting rid of.

IIRC that same cabinet was used by other one-off, fly by night companies, but I'm having a tough time finding an example.

Yes mine may have been from a completely different company... I've never heard of triple punch. The company that made mine, I believe was like 3 initials. Like "LDC" or something weird like that.

Wow sweet find.

Lyons: Forums says the manufacturer is KKI.

...

I owned one for a while in the early 2000's. Btw, I have a set of NOS sideart for this.
Awesome game. I had a problem with the game cause it was too easy and no harder settings :(

Love the willis made side art :)

I have a pcb for this game if you're looking for a spare.

this is very interesting. it looks like the cab is a modified version of a game called astro combat. the top piece with the art looks like it was added. i can upload a pic of the AC i have to compare this weekend..
i don't think its worth a ton, but uber rare in that config :)

Thanks for all the info, guys!

Yeah, the joystick is pretty mushy, but I like the design of it, and I really like the cabinet design. The glass extending down looks awesome; it's really slick and it looks more contemporary to me, like something Apple would do.

Cool! Nice artwork.

I really dig it! My wife said it looks like Luigi beating up Donkey Kong with a creepy ghost watching.
