rare Nintendo Radar Scope Cockpit on the Bay...

Yes it's the cab with the original bezel inside. I'm sure someone here could restore it though. Prob still has the graphics under the paint..

Saw that the minute it was listed. Want to buy but too far. I have all the parts.

Seriously? I agree with vintagegamer that you need to buy this. Get them to throw it on a pallet or two and get that thing on a truck to your home!

I have a marquee, bezel, two control panels, two pcbs, and a four board harness. Believe me, I want it. :)

Looks like I'd only need the rear plexi which is only tinted and the side art to complete it.

I just can't pay the shipping, it'd be too much. Room of course is a major issue too.

There is a thread about someone who restored one of those. It looked incredibly cool when he was done. The side art did not turn out the same as original, as it was impossible to find or scan, but he did a good job and it probably looked better than new.

I would consider painting the entire cabinet red and turning it into a Donkey Kong cockpit. Considering the conversion history of the game it might look cool.

I've bought a lot of games from the seller and have seen the game up close. I don't remember seeing the artwork under the paint, but wasn't actually looking for it. If it is a decal then I'm sure it is no longer on it, the paint was flat on the surface and no outline of a decal under it.

I actually thought about buying it and the last time I was out at his place and building a Donkey Kong cockpit put of it, but I already had a truck and trailer full and there was no room for it.

His games work most of the time. I usually clean them out, plug them in, and they fire right up. The only exception was a Pole Position II I got from him a couple of months ago and that was because I wanted to rebuild the power supplies before I tried it.

I'm not looking at buying anything from him this round, but if anyone wants it and can give me some gas money I can pick it up and store it for a while.

You posted this while I was mentioning it in my post. I had the same thought and had talked to my older kid about doing the same thing with it. He wants a Donkey Kong amd we've never seen an upright nearby for a reasonable price. Didn't pick it up though and don't have the time for another project right now.

If it doesn't sell then I may go for it the next time he lists it, if I can manage to clear a few other projects out of the way before then.

Why are there all these Kidvidiot posts that come out of nowhere and are immediately deleted?
my first impulse is to harangue someone for not only contributing to the epidemic of "look at this ebay/craigslist listing!" threads posted outside of the ebay/craigslist forum, but also especially when another thread was already created days ago about the same link and *was* made in the proper forum.

...but then my second impulse is f*&k it, it's not worth it as this place at the end of the day isn't that serious about reducing clutter/spam/bandwidth anyway and people will just call me an asshole.

Thanks for the explanation.

My bad. I didn't see the prior post, and to be honest, with the addition of 812 other subforums on this site lately, I didn't know who would read about the find in this section. I also found it exciting to see a rare game that was listed as something else, and thought it might benefit a fellow KLOVer, so I posted it in the main Forum to help the Masses.

I swear this site is starting to feel like watching Days of our Lives anymore. Soooooo much baby bullshit. Maybe a PM to me telling me the game link was already posted could have been possible? I wouldn't have been able to delete the thread, but at least could have posted at that point that it was a dupe and I was unaware of it.
