Picked this up at a warehouse sale not too long ago, the artwork is so awesome, I had to get it:

Has anyone seen this version before? Anyone have any background knowledge of it?
I've seen at least 3 different versions of GnG marquees, but I've never seen this one before.

Where is the warehouse sale? :D

Certainly a knockoff, but way nicer than the Taito version.

Here are some others:

Hehe, yeah it's definitely the best looking marquee out of the bunch! I don't own a GnG cabinet or board, so I'm probably going to just scan it at high-resolution, do some image fix-ups, then put the marquee up for sale.
It really is a nice piece of art, but it would be better suited on a cabinet rather than on my wall as is. ;)

I agree it is awesome. I would think you should do a hires scan on that one. I have seen a lot of Ghostly Goblins marquees over the years. Its cooler than the dedicated Taito version. Whats amazing is how many copies of GNG are out there for such a brutally hard game.

I remember when GnG showed up for the first time at the local arcade. It was there for maybe two months, and I never saw anyone playing it. I attributed that to how damn hard it was!

One of my previous employers had one of those Ultimate Arcade cabinets in the break room, terrible cabs, but it had GnG on it. We had a co-worker who could 1cc it.
It was an amazement to watch him play! Respect goes to those who have mastered this game!

That is a nice looking Marquee. Though still my favorite is the Romstar/Capcom version.(even with the 's' missing) It is the version that was on the first Ghosts'n Goblins that I played at a local 7-Eleven. I do not care for the Taito marquee either.

But my overall favorite artwork for Ghosts'n Goblins is the Capcom and NES cart. I think a variation would look great as side art. Does anyone have information on why Capcom's is missing the 's' at the end of Ghost?
Something that just got lost in translation I guess?

Apologies on digging up an old thread, but I just picked up a Ghosts n Goblins PCB and marquee earlier today, and this is the marquee I have. Had never seen it before so I did a search and came across it. Turns out the board is bootleg as well, so I'm looking for info on it.

The game was installed in a Dig Dug cab using what appeared to be the original Dig Dug harness. Since it's not an original PCB, I'm wondering if the pinout is the same as the Classic Capcom games? I have a Section Z which I'm going to test it in and see how it goes.
