Rare B-52 Bomber game Info needed

Paging Mr @DonPanetta

Or anyone with more information on this. Is there an actual B52 Bomber game or is this a 1942 bootleg kit of some kind?

I've never heard of it. I also fired up mame and see nothing on it (probably an obscure bootleg)

There is another thread where they mention seeing a B-52 with 1942 in it - Again, probably a bootleg 1942.

Thanks, I saw that several people mentioned it having a legit Capcom 1942 board. I'm just curious if this was a marketing thing or something like that.

This is truly a weird one.

It's also possible that they were imported PCBs from Japan or as they called them in the business, Parallels. Parallels were technically illegal for most of the arcade era. The legal (and sometimes not-so-legal) rationale was that they violated distribution agreements between Japanese and American companies. It's possible that someone was simply marketing these non-bootleg parallels 1942 boards as 'B-52' as a means to sell a load of them they got from Japan cheaper and attempt to stay under the legal radar.

Parallels became legal in December of 1990 and the legal provision expired about 5 years later.
