Rare B-52 Bomber game Info needed

The only thing i know about it is I have it on Intellivision. There is one person on VAPS that owns it, shoot them an email looking for info.

When you get it to work, I'll bet you lunch it is a clone. It doesn't have any logo stuff at all on the marquee. From the marquee pic, it resembles Time Pilot. It has all of the enemies of Time Pilot except for the helicopters. Shoot, it even has an exploding blimp on it.

It does not appear to be in MAME so the MAME devs might be interested.

The monitor sync is off on the sanyo monitor and I can't get it to adjust so I can't see it. There wad a 1942 manual in the bottom. I hooked up the speaker and hear the tap sounds from 1942. I wonder if it's a rom hack with the 1942 PCB. The pcb is a 2 stack and looked to have 6 roms on it with no writings. I didn't see any markings on the pcb as to vender but I didn't have good lighting. How do I get name devs the code if I don't have a rom reader? I'm willing to help them but I need video to verify everything first.

I thought of that earlier. I'll have to pop the lock on it as well. I'm curious about this as well. Maybe I will have time to do that tomorrow.

This is interesting... I once parted out a cabinet with a B52 Bomber marquee. It was a Ms. Pac mini originally - the B52 Bomber marquee had been cut down to fit, and screwed into the original Ms Pac marquee. The board inside was just a 1942 board. I just assumed that the B52 marquee had come from some other cabinet and stuck with 1942 because it was sorta close, but maybe it was just a generic marquee, or originally for a bootleg 1942?

That is interesting.. mine came with an original 1942 manual as well it was hidden in the bottom of the machine... the marquee for b52 was cut down and put in the Donkey Kong cabinet..

I know this thread is ancient but I wanted to add my experience.

About 2 years ago I found a "B-52 Bomber" arcade in some alley garage which also just has a 1942 PCB in it. It was a Galaxian cabinet.

Very curious.

Here's some pictures:

Weird.

You should hook up with the guy in VAPS from Australia, who only has a board.

You should also submit those pics to be added to the game ID page.

Yea I thought of that but I don't believe he actually has one. He lists every game on his VAPs profile. I did go to his website regardless and could not find B-52 Bomber listed among his PCBs or ROMs.

It's a mystery!

He used to dump for MAME before some drama or other.

He does have a TON of stuff, but it's all stored with no humidity control and anything you may find off of him is often *super* warped.

As far as I've heard this is almost undoubtedly an aftermarket kit for 1942, possibly done without any sort of licensing unlike the Romstar or Williams versions, but I don't know for certain.

Thanks, this makes sense based on what the others reported in this thread.

I know this is a comment on the OP from 2010, but *sigh*

Just because you haven't seen a game before, doesn't mean its a prototype.

And the search function on this sites blows....

That is all.

Google search -

There's a bunch of threads about it. Most seem to have a 1942 pcb in them. Its either a bootleg 1942, or just alternate art to hopefully increase coin drop. There was one listed in the for sale section as a b-52 bomber (1942 bootleg).

etc.
