I had posted a while back seeking an autofire/rapid fire kit for my Rapid Fire machine and had no luck.

So, after thinking about this on and off for a while, I finally decided to do something about it.

My fingers just couldn't take the abuse of playing Rapid Fire for too long so I modded an LED flashing kit from Circuit Creations coupled with an opto22 to give the machine a rapid fire module. Here's a quick video of it in action.



The mod is tied into the left trigger so if you hold it down it auto fires. If you don't hold it in, the trigger works like normal.


This machine really rocks when you have a rapid/auto fire mod on it! Sometimes it goes so fast the ball loader can't keep up!


Now all I need to do is fix the piston for the ball launch.

The kit I used was from here: http://www.circuitcreations.com/Circuit_Creations_Kits.html K103, and then configured it for the LED flasher mode. C1 was replaced with a 1uf instead for faster flash rate.

And yes, I know there are dozens of other ways to do this. And why an opto? I wanted an isolated non relay output. Beats hearing (Hah, if you can hear anything over this game) a relay clickclickclickclick.
