Lucky me I just got Randy Fromms Arcade School DVDs & the Big Blue and Green Book! Any recommendations on the sequential order I should view his DVD's? Perhaps should I read his Big Blue first?

Start with "All You Need Beginning Electronics for Operators and Mechanics".

After that one, I went to Switching Power Supplies.

Are all the DVD classes also available in the Tech Dept subscription? Also, I just purchased the tech dept. membership but I haven't been provided log in info. Just two email receipts for my purchase. Anybody here know when (or how) you receive the info. to log into his tech dept.? Is it by email?

.

When I had the tech department info - it was all available (the videos and all). However, the videos are quite large, and do take time to load/play. They aren't available for download - they used to be a streaming format only.

Personally - the monitor videos are best. I remember I watched them 2-3 times before I started to 'get' it. You will (probably) find monitors to be the most repaired/fixed thing apart from power supplies.

The power supplies are ok - but if you deal with mostly switchers, they are so cheap it really isn't worth the time to repair them. for $15 and some screws - you can fix it much quicker than trying to repair a $15 part.

Do you remember how long you had to wait before you got your log in info?

It's frustrating because I set time aside now to watch vids and I assumed I'd be provided log in info with the email receipt and that I'd be able to have access. But the info hasn't been provided yet for some unknown reason.

check your spam folder. for some reason my info got sent there. I waited about 5 days before I sent him an email and later found hotmail's filter snatched the original email.

Start with the short ones you don't really care about, so that you get an idea of what they are going to be like.

Informative and worth watching but ultimately pretty boring and it may take you a few tries to make it through any of them in one sitting.

I got my login within 24 hours, but like a poster said, it was not during the holidays. I also downloaded all the videos. I had the books printed and bound. I read them over and over. The videos do get a little boring but the are very informative in my opinion. You might try send Randy an email.
