That was definitely my favorite of all 2600 games. I had a Colecovision which I still have to this day and bought the Atari expansion module so I could play that game. Seems funny now. I think I still have the cartridge. I guess I'll check it out this weekend.

The Trazanesque sound of swinging over the watering holes was one of the best video game sounds ever. All bassy and muffled and shit. Awesome.

How bout Montezuma's Revenge?

Yeah, I loved PF, but I liked Montezuma's Revenge even better. Anyone here remember that one for the Colecovision? It was a lot like PF, but the map was more expansive and there were some tricky damn jumps to be made.

I had both Pitfall and Pitfall 2 (never saw the latter in the arcade though). Used to play the heck out of both. I think I actually got to where I could complete Pitfall 2 perfectly (grab all prizes, not get hit once, and I even made a challenge to myself where I skipped touching the red crosses...of course, if you're going for a perfect, you're not using them anyway )
