A lifetime supply of straws!!! Anybody else ever get random packaging like this?

Diapers.

Some guy must've ran out of packing peanuts and decided to fluff-up some diapers for packing material. I *think* they were unused??? They didn't smell but regardless I spent the next few minutes fishing them out with a pair of pliers, and straight into the trash. The board was wrapped in bubble wrap and so I unwrapped it and threw the wrapping away too. That was nuts.

I picked up some FREE garage sale leftovers that were put out at the curb and got 2 boxes of these straws. I also ended up getting 3 - 500ct boxes of single serve Tampons that were set up for vending.

I tried to give them to the wife, telling her she'd be set for life, but she just gave me the look which told me that she wasn't interest. So I sold them on ebay for $50 a box.
Tampon total = $150

It financed the purchase of my Jamma cab. I get a chuckle out of the fact that I was able to fully fund the purchase a cab with tampons that I found by the side of the road!

Nice! Straws!

One time my brother had a stereo receiver shipped in a box padded with toilet paper rolls. Like 24 total!

I guess the guy thought the receiver was a giant turd or something.

As someone who flips road side finds on a weekly basis, you Sir are a King among scrappers ;):D.

Haha.

I have tons of stories where I've sold crazy things for nice money but the tampon one is my favorite.

It really is true when they say one mans trash is another mans treasure!

When I used to work in the receiving department of our old Hewlett Packard service center, I saw all sorts of things. Sheets, towels, all sorts of clothing, plastic grocery bags, trucker mesh hats, you name it....

The best however was the printer we got in that was packed up with about 75 Aladdin Abu the monkey fast food toys. We each had one on our desks for years. I still have mine sitting on my desk. It is the one in this pic with his arms crossed sitting down:
