So the Rampage I picked up last year has a waaay scary power supply wired up in it, and I'm wondering what I'm looking at to get this thing re-wired. Here is what I'm working with:

Coming out of the left of the ps are the 4 wires that go up to the power switch. Then we've got a lamp cord that is plugged in that has been spliced into the marquee light. Next is the power cord, then the monitor power, and lastly the power to the boards.

Can anyone give me any pointers on what I can do to get this old rusted hunk out of my machine? Can I simply swap in a newer switching supply? Any help is appreciated.

That looks like a simple computer power supply and if I read it right 150watts you can put in a newer switcher supply. I purchased a few of these and work good but they come a bit bent up. I had to replace the +5 adjustment pot on the one on the bench, probably wore out to over use.

I guess I assumed those switchers were made to work alongside the existing power supply, and didn't function on their own. I'm very green at the insides of these games and how everything ties together.
