Rampage no sound

Well it finally works! I think it was a mass combination of things going on with this one. First I got the correct volume pot didn't really do anything at all for the sound issue but wouldn't have worked right unless I had it anyways that's the first thing. Next found that there was a leg broken of the IC at location U2 so I found this by flexing the sound board slightly and notice the sound got better when I flexed it near that chip. So I pulled the chip put a socket on the board and stole the IC I needed off my spare sounds good board (Still don't know whats wrong with the spare one). Then the sound was nice and loud again and controlled very nicely with the new sound pot. Next issue was no sound out of the right speaker so I pulled the Amp board and put my extra one in it and presto sound out of both speakers so the right channel was bad on the one amp. I did all that and touched up the Sounds Good board Pins for cold solder joints now the game has great sound and actually gets to loud now LOL.

I must be getting the NES version and the Arcade Version confused I thought there was music during the levels like the NES version. I really don't hear anything like that on the arcade version. Just a beeping sound like Morse code when the game starts. Plus I thought there was a bonus level where you would all destroy a building and hamburgers would appear to replenish life maybe this was also the NES version. Did however get the mega vitamin bonus that was weird.

The roms on the sounds good board are game specific, so if that board didn't come from a Rampage, thats why you're getting the wierd stuff. If you happen to come up this way one night lemme know and I'll zap you some.

Well that was officially the fastest I ever had a fix blow out on me (4 days working). Was showing my dad the game all was fine was using the first player I died and hit start again and a slight pop sound then all sound is gone again. I through my AMP board with the bad right channel in and no sound so must be the Sounds Good board.
