Purchased at an "non working" price, got home and just graphical background issue. (will post later). Pretty solid cabinet and bright monitor. Only issue is background and buildings are garbled. And when a character punches the buildings it doesn't register. Will tweak roms and check voltage tomorrow. Very good week for me. Rare upright Swimmer now this. High five!

Very nice looking cab! My nephew loved rampage, for the short time I let him play it on the mame cab. Really love how it starts out with Kankakee Illinois being one of the first stages. I'm not far off from that town.

By the way, is that DK Jr in a Mercs Cab?

Lol no on DK Jr. Those are 2 scratched to shit bezels I don't know what to do with. The Merc cab will be turned into a hyperspin when I stop getting new games.

He's lying, it's a DKjr in a Mercs cab.. I have seen it, it's a terrible conversion.

LMFAO! I don't see a 25'' monitor fitting well with that bezel anyways.

Funny you mentioned that, as my Mercs cab has become my temp mame - Maximus Arcade cab. I'll probably upgrade to Hyperspin. Once I get around to transfering things over to a new computer and the showcase cab. It so happened also when i wasn't able to afford any new games at the time.

Anyways update us when you can with the progress.. Sorry to have taken the thread off course a bit.

You could buff the scratches out using some high grit automotive sand paper and a buffer with a polish compound like Novus
My Donkey Kong Bezel came scratched as a tic tac toe a couple of year's ago and that's what I had to do to get it back to viewable condition

Magic eraser right side, sponge and soapy water left. Still having gibberish in the background graphics so just doing cosmetic stuff till I calm down.

Well I rebuilt the power supply. Had an extra from a previous Rampage cabinet I gutted. Got it rewired and playing blind. Now to the store to get 1.5 fuse for monitor and hope power supply was problem with graphics.

Fuses? But why would you need those?!?!? Aren't there like 20 blown ones lying around.. Use one of them :/

Fuse in, still graphical problems. In search for tested board or even ROMs. If anyone else had this issue let me know.

Mod: can you move this over to tech section and not bragging section? Thanks.
