Rampage Artwork Interest

With Chris's help I got the graphics removed from one side of my Rampage and they are now rolled up in a tube ready to mail off to Rich. Rich, LMK when you are ready for them. I peeled the upper graphic 'L' lines and midway logo and the lower series of half tone stripes. We made the cut line far enough out so that you can see where the black ink bleeds into the black vinyl. You can determine if it would be better to print 2 graphics for each side, then apply those over solid black vinyl, or if you wanna print each side as they were from the factory, all one piece.

Im ready when you are Phet.

this should be pretty quick and easy to do and Ill post the progress here.

a couple of things to point out and I may just make this a choice for everyone
in doing art that cover the whole side or offered it as an L shaped cut.

Their are some BIG advantages to doing it L shaped
one less Black to print. Thats alot of black to have just printed to cover that cab.
and by covering it with a Matt Black vinyl first and printing the L shape youd get a similar orginal look with the 2 blacks (matt vinyl/Gloss black print)
it will also being much easier to apply than 1 huge ass piece of art.

it may also cut the costs drastically of something like this verses a full sized print

Wish you guys did this over a year ago I just did it all by hand. The hardest part was the yellow lettering. For some of that weird transition color I mixed spray paint and latex actually made little color blobs in the paint and matched really well.

Tube mailed out Priority this morning. The deal with this is, it was black, green and gold ink screened onto black vinyl. You can see where the black ink stops and the black vinyl begins. If you screened it onto black vinyl, you could do full sides. If that's too much work, the decal idea is fine with me, as long as you include the black ink portion out to the edge, about 1/2-3/4 inch past the outside stripes.

OK heres my take on this
first I really suggest/recomend painting the cab black or putting matt black vinyl down first.
this way the front of the cab will match.

So the new decals will be plotter cut and seperated which will make application soooo much easier. and will give you the closest look to the that original of the 2 black sheens.
which were created by printing matt black on the vinyl then a clear gloss was added over the graphic portion. the print on this orginial was also offset and I dont think it was screened. the print quailty isnt nearly as "clean" as screened art would be and the
halftones are just craptastic.

it also cuts the costs in half. I still need to calculate this print out sq ft and
I need to do a test print and experiment with simulating that bad halftone

Sounds good to me. I can get this cab ready for the decals then. Sweet. Thanks Rich.

Looks like I'll need to order about 17 feet of your matte black vinyl for this project. Make sure to set some aside for me. I'll order it when you are ready to ship out the decals.

BTB, does it look like the screened black/ clear coat spans from the L-shaped stripes down to the lower stripes on my pic? It seems that may have been black ink between the 2?

Isn't it funny how that happens? Great timing. Usually it happens months after these projects are in motion and you're either too late or nobody cares. This hobby moves fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Here is a litle sneak peek
I need to double check the angles on this and the colors are really good and havnt decided what is best for the Halftone

Have we talked price yet? Mine has no side art, and I was just going to ignore it since it's currently sandwiched between two games, but...

Damn that's pretty!!!
