Is there any interest in the side art? I am assuming it would have to be solvent inkjet printed, but really, who cares? It's generic enough that laminated solvent would be easy and better than what most have on their machines currently. I am trying to see if it would be worth trying to pull my side art off in one piece. LMK if interested and if you can help in either scanning, printing, or whatever. Let's do this.

I'd just scan and vector it on the cabinet and have Brian Jones make you some stencils... Just a suggestion. I haven't looked at a dedicated cabinet in years but I'm pretty sure it's a one piece of screened side art?

yep+1 for stencils
and you proably wouldnt even need to scan it
break out your tape measure and just draw it up.
stencils also be ALOT cheaper than a full coverage inkjet
and could proably be cut in just a 1 piece stencil since it dosnt look like the colors overlap

Stencils, eh? I wonder. Sure would be easier to slap a big piece of vinyl on here than have to stencil and spray this bitch though. I could just take a good digigraph of it, measure thicknesses and placement, vectorize it, and color-match it, then have it printed by Rich or Whomever. The possible nanometers of distortion caused by a photo wouldn't bother me in the least.

How would you replicate the half tone dots with a stencil though? All the colored stripes have them.

Screened on vinyl. Mine's peeling off from the back.

Im down for vinyl. And the cpo is in the works..... ;)

Picking up a Rampage this weekend. Somebody's post about his first score of 2011 got me searching and luck would have it I found one two hours away.

I am down for repro art work!

I'm definitely down for a set... my next acquisition WILL be a Rampage... Phet got me all worked up with his Rampage thread!

It's a great game. Fun to look at, fun to play, great bezel and CPO artwork, cool attract mode (I wish it had sound), and it's a 3 player game, which is nice for me and my 2 kids. I think everyone has seen, heard of or played Rampage at some point. Like Fritz, it's touched us all.

Yeah... when I built my mame machine eons ago... all I did was play Rampage... (even though the emulation was f'd up on it) it really reminded me of a the fun I had at the time came out... I was filled that thing with tokes at funspot!

So its definitely next.... I want my bally/mid cab to look perfect... so I will be so after an art repro if it happens... which I hope it does.

OK Rich, it looks like it was black vinyl with the yellow, halftone and green stripes AND a swath of black screened onto it. You can see the finish difference in the vinyl and the black ink:

And here are some shitty close-ups of the halftone dots without flash:
