silly me, why not ask the general public??

The Major Havoc repro roller control;

has anyone here purchased one? did they like it? I have a Tempest Conversion and the spinner is all I know.. Really love the game as is, but hell, if it is just a drop in replacement
then I may invest in one. In fact, I have a spare tempest control panel and I could always switch back with no tears if I am unhappy with the roller. I have heard there is some drilling and spot welding brackets involved and that is fine.. electronically, is it just plug and play with the major havoc/tempest conversion pcb?

also I have heard from someone who ordered one months ago that they are still yet to receive the roller. Are these items back ordered? Do Ram controls notoriously ship right away, or are they slow getting parts out?

Mark Alpiger played my Roadrunner and complained that he was not getting full range of motion from my Hall Effect joystick. I am not a fan of the game and to me the joystick played fine. Has anyone ordered the new hall effect sensors and did it make a difference on a "sluggish" Hall effect stick?

I have more questions but these are good to start... ; )

Thanks!

Richie

I have one and I like it. Public Disclaimer: Mine is not installed yet. It is well made, spins great, and looks to be a drop-in replacement for an original (but I do believe there are some minor differences...). I hope to have it installed this summer into my Major Havoc project.

I'll let others comment on shipping questions....

I'm sure you will get different responses. But for me I got my items very fast like 2 days. Great quality I would definitely buy from him again. I believe he is on the forum often.

I have the roller control installed in my Tempest conversion. It makes the game so much more fun. I highly recommend it.

Two thumbs up on the roller gig and installing it in a Tempest/MH conversion,
On another post though, seems that there may be issues for delivery...
