RAM Controls Update

PM me and let me know what you guys want.

P.S. -- sorry about the novel... LOL

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Not sure myself and many others can take the bait again, but good luck. Nice to see you've made amends with some people.

Hey Darin,

I'm trying my best to work through the BS in the past and move forward. Hoping you and I can work things out, too.

Thanks for the pleasant response....I think we can get beyond where we left off and make it all good again. :)

Just PM'd you.

Dave

How much to BUY the SW Cockpit moulding?

I need Cockpit Side Art........Dave?........Rich?......Archer?......Bueller??

The t-molding is $50 + shipping (use coupon code KLOV100 for free shipping).

Anyone here on KLOV, PM me directly and I'll do $30 shipped anywhere in the U.S.

This is for enough t-molding for one entire cockpit.

I've sold a LOT of this t-molding. Any questions about quality, fit, etc just ask around. I think Level42 posted about it earlier in the thread.

Side Artwork? Definitely talk to Rich. He's the man with the films. :)

Dave

If you think this is bait, that's really too bad - you're missing out. Dave is manufacturing the best Atari replacement parts on the planet right now, bar none. In most cases his parts are better than the original, and in all other cases they are as good as the original parts Atari used 25+ years ago.

And he has gone far out of his way to sell parts to this community at cost or even at a loss, just as a show of faith and to let us see first hand how good his parts are.

I'm lucky. I have three Atari games at the moment - Star Wars, Paperboy and 720, and all three have or will benefit from his parts. Thanks, David!

Hey guys,

I've been lurking around on KLOV for years and years now, since 2001. I signed up in 2006, but I've kept my activity confined to PM's...until now. I've been watching the KLOV forums for so long, I feel that it's about time I finally chime in and contribute. I've been buying, collecting and repairing arcade games since before the arcade hobby even existed, so I have a lot of knowledge to share.

If it wasnt for the time and effort that people like your self put into this sort of thing these parts wouldnt even come up for people to bitch about. I say let em cry and piss and moan all they want. If any collector thinks that another collector (like yourself) or even a parts supplier to collectors can make his rent selling this stuff they are nuts.

The collecting community is tiny compared to the trials of the real world. I say do what you have to in order to put food on the table. I also say thank you for taking the time to create these items for those of us that need them.

Matt

I talked on the phone with Dave last night for well over an hour, and i have to say he's a very genuine straight forward guy. I enjoyed the knowledge he shared, and some great stories about arcades back in the day. I look forward to dealing with dave very soon!

I Cant believe this.... I got my FREE parts TODAY!!

He sent them Next day delivery!!!

I asked for some Atari cones and a couple of switches..

They look awesome and the switches are brand new!! Brand new lighted switches!!!

The cones look amazing. I hate to put them on a game!!!!

Thanks so much Dave!! I dont know how I can repay you, but I will certainly let everyone know how great the product is and recommend you!!!

Thanks again

Nep,

Darrin and Dave have a history. Darrin has his reasons for posting what he posted. Trust me when I say you'd be best served to stay out of it.

Hey guys,

NeP, gamefixer - Thank you for the kind words, I really appreciate it. I'll keep making these reproduction parts for the long-haul, so don't worry that I'm going to go away...taking the repro parts with me. LOL

DPtwiz - was great talking to you. YOU do some very cool work, btw!! We have quite a bit more to discuss, don't we? :)

bryan95502 - I'm glad the parts showed. I ended up sending out not 10, but 21 freebie packages yesterday! Thank you for the nice words. I've been trying real hard to show people that I'm actually HERE and taking care of business now.

Friz - you're right on the money. Darin has every right to be bent at me. Our deal went south and I simply wasn't around to fix it. Almost ALL of my issues revolved around the fact that I just wasn't present to take care of stuff. But that's not the case any longer. Anyhow, if I were in Darin's shoes, I would have been upset just as much. Looking forward with some optimism, I'm hoping he and I can work around our past and put it behind us since significant time has elapsed. You can bet that I'll work to make it right between the two of us.

Everyone else, when your parts arrive can you let me know? I'd like to get some comments on the quality, etc.

Thanks

Dave

Tom,

Yes the 1.5" t-molding will fit on the Assault pedestal base. The base itself is 1.5" thick:

AssaultPedestalBaseMeasure.jpg

So, the 1.5" t-molding will fit just fine. However, I don't know for sure, but I seem to recall that the original t-molding that Atari applied was narrower, maybe 3/4" or 1", leaving a lot of the base edge exposed. I never knew WHY they might have done that -- I always chalked it up to someone over there being on drugs or just not paying attention...maybe even a string of poor repair jobs later on down the line. They did run out of the 1.5" t-molding at one point, so that might have something to do with it.

Yeah, so the reproduction 1.5" t-molding I sell WILL definitely fit on the base of Assault... and Toobin'....and, of course, Star Wars cockpits.

Dave

is this t-molding used for assault also?

thanks,
Tom

Got some cones in the mail today -not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 new cones. Couldn't believe that they arrived already. Sent next day shipment. They look really really nice. Can't wait to put them on the Centipede I'm restoring. (full review when I finish painting and get to the control panel)

Thanks for the great stuff!
