I Have decided to write a review on the Quality of the New Star Wars Yokes I purchased from Ram Controls. The Yoke on my Star Wars was 100% functional, I realized with my Yoke was almost 30 years old, and that I should consider purchasing a New Yoke while they were available. I actually purchased 4 yokes, a friend wanted one and I figured having a few extras around would not hurt.

Having a 100% working original yoke made it easy to compare. The new yoke seems smoother, and more responsive than my original yoke. The fire buttons feel nice, and are top quality and they fire very smooth and fast. The horizontal and vertical movements of this are unreal accurate. Im actually able to hit more tie fighters with the new yoke due to is preciseness and speed. It is plays better in that my original.

Holding one of these new Yokes in your hand and inspecting it. You will see that it was made with top quality solid materials.

A true and fair review would include things that seem different between the Original and the New Yoke. The only thing that I noticed that seemed a bit different were the handle grips, they feel a little different to me. Its not a bad feel but different. Im used to the feel of the original, and many people would never know the difference.

In closing I rate this New Yoke at Jedi levels, and could only have been produded by a true Jedi Master.

Good work and thank you Ram Controls for your Dedication to this project.

The only purpose of this thread is to review the product!!
Here are some pictures.

I actually installed the overlay for a bunch of yokes which generated a few specific complaints. They either wanted to do it themselves or they had planned to install some "other" overlay. I decided to not install them anymore to abate this problem. :) Besides, the decision allowed me to be just that much more lazy. LOL

Harbor Freight is your friend - I picked up the 100 piece set on sale for $5 - the same one Bob Roberts sells.

Sweet there is a Harbor Freight just up the road:) I have a bit set. I was working on a tron, and that bit fell in the bottom. I was going to get it out later, next thing I knew I sold the game and the bit was gone, LOL

Very, very nice. Lookie at those gears and teeth! Never seen arcade parts so perfect and clean. Me love the look of that yoke long time.

Yes they are unreal nice. It looks even better with the Brand New Yoke Overlay installed. Doesn't look naked now. The overlay is high quality like everything else.:cool::cool:

I would love to see mine....

Still waiting.

Even after it was supposedly sent and "I should have it no later than thursday"

Gosh, what a shocker when the tracking number was "not found" and the yoke is still MIA.

Boy, I really want one of the SW cockpits, and amazingly I do have the 3K to spend on it, but shit, if I can't even get a yoke, God knows when I would see the cabinet....

Not bitching or anything......

I cannot explain how much cashola I am willing to throw at Dave for his dreams, but at least throw me a bone.....
