Next could be

3. The BZ bellows we outsourced to Haiti and I can't get in touch with the team working on them.

First In / First Outshould be based on when the order was placed.

Ordering a shipping product vs. a non-shipping product are two very different things that cannot be in the same FIFO queue. Anyone that thinks that the yokes are shipping needs to talk to Havoc. Not sure why he said they were done and then didn't actually get them sent out. That didn't really help the situation and caused more people like yourself to effectively pre-order a yoke.

hmmmm.

If I were making reproduction parts that weren't available anywhere else
and
I had given away free parts and cheap parts several times over the last few months
and
I had some issues that prevented me from fulfilling orders (even after I said they shipped)
and
I came across this thread that was pretty harsh towards me

then
I may feel sour towards the 'community' that I was trying to help with all the repros.

Give him a break considering the circumstances. You haven't been cheated out of anything at this point, he just owes you something. Go play something else until your parts arrive.

Patience, grasshopper..

AMEN BROTHER. With all that being said, I will go one further. Anybody on here that ordered anything from Dave and regrets having done so needs to shut the F up and quit your teeny baby crying. I have testified over and again that you will get what you ordered and then some and it has been proven by multiple other posts here time and again. Why doesn't everyone go back to crying about the DK II artwork shipping procedure, or the incorrect shading on the Qbert artwork that was produced years ago, or two-bits lousy repros, or how arcadeshops emulation sucks, or how Spaeth is a bum for not making any more kits of "insert choice here", and how the shillers at Superauctions screw it for everyone, and how Chat. PB is ruining the hobby by buying everything up and how arcadecup is a bum for buying products on the open market, and garagearcade is a liar, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on. What (not who) are you people? Don't you have anything better to do than rag on other people's hard work? If you don't like something, post once, explain why without getting emotional about it and move the F on. If it really sucks, the seller should provide a refund, if he chooses not to, then I pity the fool.
Go fix something in the garage or go design something that is needed in the hobby and produce it on your own dime and see how people react to the shoddy work.

Quite frankly, I am tired of hearing all the bashing in this forum about this and that. This is supposed to be fun. When you start pissing in everyone's cereal it really leaves a bad taste in their mouths. Ask Dave for a refund and shut up. If he doesn't provide you one, send me the friggin bill and I'll give you your money. Then you have to shut the F up. Plain and simple. You ar prohibited from ever ordering anything from Ram controls ever again. Me personally, I can wait another 5 years for a Lunar Lander control panel. It took me 8 years to find a good cabinet. What does it matter in the grand scheme of things? If you are so hard up for cash, then you shouldn't have spent the money in the first place.

I'm pissed. Fire away. I don't give a rats ass what most of you cry babies think anymore. If you don't want to do business with me, FINE, all the better. Anyone that still thinks this is a fun hobby and appreciates all the hard work others are doing are more than welcome to order from me. For that matter, anyting I have listed for sale will automatically qualify for an automatic 10% discount if you include the statement" I love this hobby and haven't bitched about anytihng on KLOV in over 30 days" I don't care if it is in person, on eBay or thru the forums.

Send all copies of bills you have from Ram Controls requesting refunds to this e-mail address:

[email protected], or via snail mail to

Pat Danis
3416 Augusta Drive
Flower Mound, TX 75028

You must then follow up with an e-mail to Dave telling him that you have transferred your order to me and will not be purchasing anything else from him in the future.

What personal interest do I have in Dave's business? I donated some obscure parts and artwork for reproduction to help others in the hobby and have purchased reproduction parts from him. I don't make a friggin cent off anything he sells. I will gladly take whatever he makes and ships and either use it or trade it for something else. Anybody see what the last partial Star Wars yoke sold for on eBay?

That's it for now. I'm going to go mail some parts and work on something.

Well said Pat!

Yes well said Pat.

Dave is not a scam artist running off to the Bahamas with Star Wars yoke money.
He is a passionate and enthusiastic collector and craftsman. The arcade collecting community is LUCKY to have him.

Just curious, but why is he asking for money NOW when he knows he can't or won't ship for perhaps MONTHS from now? I'm not slamming, I'm genuinely curious. I know he's an asset to the hobby, but if it were anybody else taking money and waiting months to possibly, maybe ship something, they'd be run out on a rail! Is he just disorganized? Unmotivated? In over his head? Does he need a shipping department?

Why isn't HE on here saying the things Pat is saying for him? The whole thing just doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

I thought that's how it always worked? I once paid for some artwork, and it took over 3 months to get. I always thought you paid to make sure you got in on the product, and when it was done, you were guaranteed it.

Is that how it works? Did Dave articulate that? He said the yokes were shipping, but how many were shipping? Does he need time to build more?

I can't help but think that if he was upfront about how long it would take to ship things, not only would people be ok with that, but threads like this one would dry up and blow away. People are waiting without word and I guess that's the hardest part?

First off, let it be known that I am not complaining. I'm sure Dave will come through. I think the main issue that others are upset about is that Dave said he shipped at least mine, and it appears that he did not. Second, since it was made to look like the yokes were ready to go out the door (right down to having to purchase a wire crimping machine to get them done) that all new orders were not pre-orders, but orders for a product in stock, already built and ready to ship.

I can understand why some people are upset. Personally, I am patiently waiting for my yoke as I do truly believe Dave will get it out to me, and hopefully fairly soon. I am disappointed that he didn't ship it yet, but I've still got other things to occupy me, so I'll get it when I get it.

Komodo please take a moment of your time and go over and lay your ass blast on the whiners over at BYOAC. :) <-- excluding Havok69 (and frizz grumpy fucker)

And for the record I don't care if David ever releases these. I don't want one, I don't need one. David was nice to me and I was nice to him. Some of us have seen the other side to David. It doesn't make us ass kissers. Does any of you have a right to be angry .... indeed.
Does it help speculating why/where the issue is? Nope. David needs to do the right thing and post here. It deeply saddens me that I worked on him for so long to come public and get back in good graces with the community and then it comes down to this.

I don't disagree with you I believe it's been beat to death. The problem isn't the waiting it's the way that all communication ended.

I, for one, don't give a ratts arce whether Pat is pissed off or not. He has his opinion... I have mine.

A duck is a duck. >QUACK< Don't like my posts about this topic? TOUGH... get over it. Want a tissue?

Put the vulgarity back and stop using that cliche.

Hey everyone,

It looks like this thread took on a life of it's own. I see that some people posted up my latest issues with real life taking a front seat, so I'll leave it at that. No need to cough up more excuses, right?

Anyhow, I've been spending a great deal of time this week going through the backlog of orders and getting parts out as fast as I can. People will start to see their orders showing up. I have to stress that I am still somewhat distracted by the situation with my "real" work, but it shouldn't be so much of a distraction that I can't get a lot of orders out the door the remainder of this week.

All I can do is apologize for the delay and lack of communication which I know is a serious problem. With that in mind, if you need/want to get in touch with me, please email me directly at [email protected].

Obviously, with the backlog of shipping I need to take care of, I will be spending little time online (especially on the forums) and more time dealing with the situation of getting orders out. Anyhone who absolutely needs to get in touch with me NOW, please EMAIL me.

So, to conclude, PLEASE accept my sincere apologies for the delays and lack of communication. If you EMAIL me at [email protected], I WILL get back to you.

Keep on gaming!!!

Dave
