Ram controls current reputation?

When that "going out of business" thing popped up, I e-mailed RAM through their website out of curiosity to see what direct contact with them would produce:
"Do you still have Atari Star Wars yokes available for sale? And the USB interface & accompanying Star Wars overlay?"

24 hours later:
"I do not have SW Yokes available. Our production run is sold out and we are not anticipating making another run."

Just posting words from the horse's mouth, for reference.

this thread made me angry....

"Guideline #1. DON'T ATTACK OTHER USERS. The most important rule of the form concerns the abuse of other members in good standing. The board follows a general 'do unto others as you would want to be treated' policy. Don't abuse, attack, insult, or bait other posters, even those most deserving. Don't bait or attack the admins or moderators-----"

i think you guys were a little hard on rteel to begin with, im sure he had no intention to "shit" all over you or "bend you over" lol someone asked about recent experiences when dealing with RAM....he gave his.

where he spends his money is really his business no?

and yes i know what happened with RAM and because of it, i would not use RAM controls for anything, however i would not attack someone else for doing so, its their money if they want to take that chance, so be it.

I was almost afraid to post this because of how rteel was treated, but what the hell!
I've had no problem with anyone here at all and i hope to keep it that way, so far everyone has been super fucking awesome to me here.

Guys, can we all gear it back a bit?

I'm sure tempers got out of hand, and a lot of good people have been burned by RC, so it's understandable, but this is still a friendly forum full of helpful people right?

New guy stepped on some toes, I don't think he realized how many people have been ripped off, but also that burning bridges with people here isn't a good idea.

That being said, lets not over-react about a stupid internet remark, right?!

Keep the anger focused on where it needs to be, the guy(s) who owe the KLOVers their money back, RAM Controls!

It's all good Darin. :) He's likely just a kid being a kid. I was a little rough on the tyke earlier... so I supposed I had it coming. :D

That's the spirit.
Hugely magnanimous of you Frizz.

I for one would like a "you post it you own it, no edits, no deletes no banns" board.

My girl is on a mom board called "cyber-moms". Their motto is "where we stab you in the front". If they can handle it, so can we. I've yet to see anything on our board come close to the raunchy, insulting shit on theirs, and personally it saddens me. It's pure entertainment.

It's interesting. They (Adam/Jan/Errol/Jim/?) made a good product. Well, by product I mean they sourced parts and put together part kits and some controllers. The website (still) is a farce. It still makes claims about things being manufactured 'in house', etc.. They shipped some great stuff out. It was nicely packed, nicely presented. However, while going through the effort to present a great product, it was a scam in that they didn't pay for what they were selling in some cases, didn't ship some of the product, flat out ripped some off, while delighting some customers and giving stuff away. Bravo, guys!!
