I know there is a feedback section and I usually post there, but in this case I wanted to post in the general Section so more people could see this..

I bought a BlackWidow kit fron Rainman154.. It was a Control Panel, Harness, Marquee Brackets, and a Near Mint original glass marquee..

I have to say this is the best packing job I have ever seen.. It was amazing. All week I have been worried about the marquee showing up in a Million pieces... The marquee was shipped in a seperate box.. The box was oversized leaving atleast 4in clearance on all sides.. The Marquee itself was wrapped with bubble wrap that must have been 5in thick.. Took me 5 minutes just to unwrap the bubble wrap from marquee.. The rest of the box was packed full of peanuts..

This care that you took in wrapping these items was outstanding.. Im going to leave you awesome feedback.. Blackwidow has been a grail for many years.. Thank you Rainman154:D

Yeah Rainman154 (Rick) is probably the coolest person I know.
Dude so glad that marquee arrived safely. I worried about it the whole time. I would hate to lose something like that considering how nice the condition it is in.
Did you get the other package that alejandromad sent?? He helped A LOT in getting that shipping price so low.

Kinda cool to have my own thread!

Again thanks Rick... You deserve this thread!! Seriously I have never seen a better pack job ever. Yes the other box arrived safe.. I put the control panel and marquee on the machine.. It already had a factory BW harness in it.. I played Blackwidow for 2 hours last night:)

Did alejandromad pack the other box?? Its was packed great too.. I know he helped with shipping.. Big thanks goes out to alejandromad too....

I will post some pictures tonight....

Bah.... I ship from work. Good discount with UPS and Fedex. Lots and lots of stuff to pack with. I had the easy job... nothing breakable in the box I packed.

Rick was very concerned about that marquee, so hats off to him for getting that to you safely.

That marquee has been in the possession of 3 KLOVers before you...

Rick, then myself, then Chris25810, returning to the aforementioned great guy - Rick, and now you.

Funny thing about that marquee...

Rick hooked me up with a Black Widow that was not real nice... super funky barn smell, a jacked up overlay on the cp and the joystick redball tops had actually been melted a little... seemingly with a lighter or such.

The cabinet was missing the PCB and NOTHING in the cabinet worked. I mean NOTHING.
I replaced the ARII, the power 'brick', the WG6100 and even the marquee starter and ballast.

I was stunned to find, when working on the marquee light, that the marquee itself was almost like NOS. Very surprising considering the rest of the cabinet.

That said, I worked a trade with Chris to swap panels and he also bought the marquee. If you know how anal Chris was about restoration that's all you need to know to understand how nice this marquee was.

Chris ended up selling Rick the Black Widow he was restoring during his "Great Arcade Sell-off" of 2011.

Rick got another Black Widow and so much of the 'project' BW ended up in your hands.

Glad it found a good home.
Enjoy.

Thanks for the history on the marquee.. Everyone respected it for what it was, and kept it in beautiful condition.. It looks awesome on my new Black Widow...
