So I picked up a raiden pcb, and it plays great... No sound though...

Tried tuning the pot and still nothing, not even any buzzing from the speakers.

Board is getting proper voltages, and if I throw another game in the cab I get sound no problem...

Any ideas what to check next?

Amp may be bad, if you coin up and play a game do you get any sounds?

The dip B switch 8 is for demo sound but if you start a game you should have sound.

EDIT:

How are you testing the +12 for the sound amp....@ the supply or at the amp?

-5v is hooked up

Tested volts at the ps and at the pcb connector... Not to sure where to put my testers to check the amp...

And no ,no demo sound or sound when the game is coined up and played...

-5 and +12 need too be hooked up pins 5 - parts and compoent side for -5

pins 6 parts and compoent side for +12.

Speaker is hook up to pin 10 (-) is on solder side and + compoent side if I remember right A.

get the manual for the pin out here This is just for the Raiden

Voltages are connected to the proper pins and the speaker is wired correct...

Anyone know where I can find a schematic for the sound amp?

If you just rub your finger on the pins of the amp you should hear some scratching. Just like you used to hear when you rubed the needle of a record player needle. That will tell you that the amp is working or not. I would measure the voltages at the amp and make certain it is not hot and in thermal cut off.

Tried rubbing... No pops or squeaks or hums ...guess the amp is blown....

Thanks for the info guys, guess Ill go research replacement components now...yay another project board to repair!!!
