I just got my radar scope cabinet, and the pp7-A is not putting out voltage. I noticed my PP7-B has the same pin connectors.. Should this work with my Radar Scope that used a PP7-A? (If I somehow already tried this, would it harm my Radar Scope PCB?)

I think the PP7a has 4 connectors instead of 3 and I thought all 4 were used but I'm not sure. The PP7a is a higher amperage power supply, but the early 4 board dk sets are converted radarscope boards and they run fine on a pp7b. I'd doubt you'd harm the boardset, what voltages are you getting? - Barry

I was only getting minimal voltage out of the PP7A, and a white screen. Do you have a link to the voltage chart for the PP7a / PP7b.

Are you sure all 4 connectors are used? This may be another problem as there were only 3 connector cables in the cabinet. The 4th and smallest connector has no cable in it.

It was for some, but I think there is a cable that feeds 1 board to another so they only use the 3.

PP7a and B have the same pinouts as far as power here is a link to the pp7a in the dk manual.

Thanks! I'll check my voltages tomorrow and get back to you. Right now, im just getting a pure white screen and hiss when I power it up. This this was in storage for 30 years untouched. The whole game is extremely clean.. So I'm not sure if its a board or power supply issue or both..

So it was either the power supply or ISO. I put the brick from my working DK in and the white screen is gone.

However, it now comes up with a garbage screen. When powered on this image rolls top to bottom for about a second and a half, then freezes on this static image.

The H hold when adjusted on the monitor makes the image roll side to side. I tried tinkering with the 2 knobs on the radar scope PCB, but this does nothing.

One thing that I noticed to.. After having the machine on for a few minutes with this garbage screen, I shut it off, the CLK board of the stack was noticable warmer.

Now what? :D
