Do you idiots who want to defund the police still want to do so?

Seattle is dying. People in need call 911, and no one shows up. The politicians in Seattle laughed at the town meeting at the people who were furious.

Fishy? Of course. Who would think that someone would do such a thing is probably why he did not have security or insurance so procrastinated and well then this really did happen if not a fishy scam.

So aside from a scam, this could be either an inside job, landlord eviction, or the people that next door hired to clean their stuff out cleaned his stuff out also and maybe by mistake.

Collectors with similar setups and even you collectors hoarding games in storage lockers beware, but at least storage places have video surveillance.

So it seems like he now knows who did it and because they had a lease with his landlord he should have access to their names and address . Should be straight forward to file a grand larceny charge against the thieves and have the cops arrest them and round up his property . What am I missing ?

I hate to pure more fuel on a KLOV drama fire, but if there were 17 machines (maybe there were more, but that's what this thread says) and let's say each worth on average $750 (don't tell me a Galaga is a $2k machine because everyone here knows its not), that makes about $12-$13K. So why is there a GoFundMe asking for $30K...

And if the thieves could move these big heavy machines easily, why did they leave the Coke brand drinks cooler? That's the thing with obvious commercial value on the open market to resell, and worth $2-$3K.

Should the guy have had insurance? Of course. Do I understand why he doesn't? Absolutely. We all have had thoughts of people stealing games out of our garages, houses, whatever. And we all have had the very rational thought of, "who the hell is going to come take these 300+ lb machines out of here?" So I get why he didn't have insurance

Very weird ordeal.

It's different for a business renting space; you're required to have insurance.

I have a feeling within a few weeks this thread is going to get even more interesting; things just don't quite add up.

You're right, I wasn't thinking about that. I still understand why he'd want to put it off though. Insurance can be expensive

WTF does this situation have to do with Seattle? Go push your political agenda somewhere else.

Coming from someone who probably lives in or near Seattle.

Yes I live outside Seattle. What is happening in Seattle has nothing to do with stolen games from an arcade in Ohio.

(And I'm a Canadian living in the US, before you try to pin some political slant to my position. I can't vote here, don't give a shit about politics here).

Seattle has nothing to do with the topic at hand.

It does when the people are relying on police and Seattle is a perfect example of a society that has no police.

Just a reminder.

It turns into a fucking shithole.

If you don't give a shit about politics then close your ears to it.

If it helps, I personally think the fault all lies with Naples, Florida.

There is a politics forum. Just a reminder.
