OK I got my dream machine. Once the game boots up it unpacks gsp... and then reboots. I put it in test mode and the system states BAD GSP VRAM. I test the GSP and at the end it shows 16 boxes the 1st one is red and the rest are green shown below. How can I found out where the red chip is located and where do I go and buy one to replace it. I have the book and it is not helping this grouping it too equal. Is it the chip at 60W or 60P?

Thanks for helping getting my dream working,

have you checked the power yet? make sure you have a good strong 12 volts and 5.1 volts on the 5v....

also maks sure you dont have cold solder on the apu pcb...

could be bad chips yes but maks sure youve "got the power captian"

OK Just some info for all, the chips read just like the numbering on the board. I touched the chip and it was really hot. The chips are 42C4064-10.

I have a picture attached. I am having trouble finding it. If anyone know where I can pick these up let me know.

Thanks,
Chris

there's 2 or 3 different listings on ebay right now for them.

I did see that but that is slower, mine are -10 those on ebay are -12. Now here is the funny part in the Race drivin book it states "Integrated Circuit, VRAM, 64Kx4, 150 nsec(Acceptable substitute is part no, 137553-001, Integrated Circuit, VRAM, 64kx4 120 nsec) " So my guess the -10 are 100 nsec and -12 are 120 nsec and all my chips are -10. I did pick up a hard drivin board and those are -15. I think they just reprinted the hard drivin pages for the main pcb.

Thanks,
Chris

the -12's should work fine. Your guess is correct about the speed. I'd go ahead and socket it and try one. Your boardset doesn't work now anyway, and if the -12 doesnt work, all you have to do is pop it out and replace it with a -10. But the -12 should work fine especially since the manual specified a -15 which is even slower.

Hi I've got the same problem gsp vram fault..anyone know where I can parts or someone who fixes them?
