Hello, i have a R84 that worked fine until yesterday.
Wen i powered up the juke, he kept on turning the magazine.
In the service mode he stops and with the cancel button i can turn the magazine.
In normal mode the mag motor led is on and both the optical led's are working normal.
In a post i read that i can make a factory reset on the ccc board with two buttons hold down at startup, but i don't ne witch one i need to hold down.

No luck

Hello, i bought the Field service manual and parts catalog to see if i can locate the problem, but this manual did'nt have any drawing of the CCC or the Mecha. Is there anyone who can send this or knows te title of that manual. I suspect the processor 7-90390-03 .
Is there a possibility tho get the troubleschooting board in Belgium?

Thanks

I have an R84 that would randomly spin the magazine while idle, sometimes starting and stopping for no reason. I cleaned up all the solider joints on the controller board's lower (largest) connector and it has not acted up since. Might have done them all while I was in there, I'm funny that way. It's been over 1 year now, so far so good.

At the time this jukebox was manufactured, Rowe issued a seperate "Shop Service Manual" which details all the circuit boards troubleshooting, repair, and parts lists. This manual is extremely rare. It is in 11 inch by 17 inch brown plastic binders. Every page is 11 inch by 17 inch double sided. None of the pages are folded.

Rowe sold this manual through their distributors/dealers for $100 each!

I'm lucky to own one for the R-89 model.

Mech. board

Hello,
I got the circuit drawing of the ccc board .
Wen i look at the signals comming from the mech board, i notice that the led's of the both optical switches are working ( Index: flickering ; home: once every cycle), but when i look at the signal going to the ccc-board then i get 8v. from the home signal output ( j105-11 ), but the output from the signal ( j105-10 ) stays the same if i turn manualy the magasine. The led go's on and off, but the signal stays 8v.
I'm suspecting the mech. board.
Thanks Ken for the information, i called a local dealer for this book, but it seems unavailable in Belgium.
Saturday i can spent some time on the problem, i will keep you informed .

Greetings

There are some triacs on the mechanism control board that go bad.

Sometimes they go "leaky". Sometimes they go "open". Sometimes they go "shorted".

You can also do a "factory reset" of the CCC board by simply removing the battery on it for a few seconds. I believe the battery is originally soldered to the board.

Mech board

Hello Ken,
I changed the batterie for a new one, so i had a factory reset.
I will verify the triacs.

Thanks

Lm3302

I found out that the LM3302 is not working on the index signal.
First thing to do on monday is to get a new one.
I will keep you informed.

Problem solved

Hello,
the juke is working as never before.
The problem came from the LM3302.
The led's indicated a working signal, but the output ( +8v or 1v ) did'nt change on the base of the q117 ( ccc board ).
Many thanks Ken for your support.
It's nice to make some friends with the same passion for old and new juke's.
