R4 carts Retailer scams..

I never said mine was new, I got it from a member here with no reason to believe its a clone. Looks really legit to me, I have seen a couple comparison pics of knockoffs to real and mine looks real

I would suggest to stick with the version I gave you from the main r4 site.

Newer versions have a tendency to be fake and will brick your R4 card.

anyone have an original r4 card for a reasonable price? just got a DsLite and would like to check out what it can do. pm me if you do.

Thanks

so what version on the realhotstuff site is the best to order? Someone point me in the right direction... do I go with R4 and 2gb package? or do I go with the acekard that some of you have been talking about? which is more feature packed and the best bang for the buck? or do they do the same things and just look differently? I'm looking to buy soon so please share some opinions for and against.

Thanks!

get an R4i SDHC card, (red box)

from dscardworld.com

this card can work with the DS lite and when you upgrade to DSi or XL, you can reuse it.

Stay away from the R4i Gold. A lot of them are 1.4 only, your looking for 1.4.1 chip sets.

also, buy the microSD card from amazon. its A LOT CHEAPER than anywhere as a kit.

for 20$ you can get a 16gb microsd

I bought that new iSmart Premium cart. It was cheap and works great. It has a nice menu too.

I just ordered a red box R4i SDHC V1.4.1 from ebuylife.com. I'll let you know if it ever shows up.

Update: It took a while but it finally arrived from Hong Kong. Ordered 1/24/11, Arrived 2/12/11. Works fine.

i bought out a small gamestore and have 9 r4 and 3 gba flashcarts that i would sell or trade for crap as i will not sell these at my gamestores, thanks Ron

I really hope you like it then. The menu is especially cool; it's like the acekart menu, but the ismart is way cheaper.

I've had a look and it looks NOTHING like the AceKard menu. AKAIO looks like this...as does Wood R4. (Obviously variations depending on the skin in use)

The iSmart looks just like the DSi menu does.

This cart also has a good set of it's own issues, and several games that don't work...including quite notable titles.

Unless they've fixed these issues (and others not mentioned in that lone review) in the last week or two, stay away. Jumping between goofy firmwares including a borked Moonshell like one is definitely going to be an annoyance.

Whoops, I meant it's like Supercard DSTWO.

I didn't know it had any issues. I haven't had any problems with mine. ???

Just got my iSmart premium card yesterday. I have had no problems with it so far. The bad part is my daughter took the card after I loaded a Soul Eater anime game on it. She does not know Japanese but is trying to play the game anyway.
