Steve Kordek passed away this morning in his home. He was 100.

If you played an EM that Williams made, chances are good it was a Steve Kordek design.

He was a great man and a true asset to pinball. He was always smiling and was an absolute pleasure to talk to.

Pinball is not the same without you Steve!

From articles I`ve read he was a pinball giant & well liked\loved by all. It is a loss to all but living to be 100 ain`t bad in my book...Rest in Pinball...

Sad news, but what a life! I was reading about his birthday party stuff a while back. Sounds like he was a really cool dude.

i say lets honor his life and achievements by playing lots of pinball today.
rest pin peace sir and thank you for all you did for pinball.

Already done :)

Steve was a pleasure, and upbeat in everything I ever saw him do. The world lost a good man today. Cant wait to see what he's designing upstairs!

Thanks for letting us know, a sad day indeed, but a man who will always be known as a remarkable contributor to the hobby. I met Steve years ago at Pinball EXPO and was delighted to make his acquaintance. Prayers and thoughts with his family as they grieve his passing. 100 years old, wow!!

I had the honor of interviewing him at his house 2 years ago for our upcoming video. He gave us 3 hours of conversation about his life. He was an amazing man and I'm proud to have had the chance to get to know him. If you want to hear what the man was about, listen to the interview that Shaggy did with him on http://www.pinrepair.com/topcast . I actually have the video that was used to make that audio as well. He will be missed for years to come, especially at Expo.

That is the same one they printed in the Chicago Tribune.

Kind of cool him standing next to one of the pins I own, Jokerz!

That was one of the 2 games he had in his basement. The other was an Indiana Jones. He was also the owner of the Pinball Circus machine on display at the Pinball Hall of Fame in Las Vegas.
