In my quest for a Pacman cab with decent side art, I was drawn out into dueling banjo country today. The local CL snipers had alerted us to ywo Pacmans for sale @ $100 ea. One of our local guys ran out there and looked them over, but they were inside a trailer and he couldn't tell their condition. He said he thought it was a pass, and that they offered both to him for $100.

Well, I gathered up Timbre and we rolled out there. These poor old boys loaded up both of these dead Pacs into our truck for $50, and we headed back to civilization.

WARNING!
The pics that are about to follow in the next couple of posts are very graphic and should NOT be viewed by people with weak stomachs, weak hearts, children of any age.

Well, for $50.... Looks like you got a G07, K4600, a couple Pac boards, some CPs, coin doors, etc. Probably worth the trip if parting out is the goal.

One cab is obviously kindling, but the other looks like it may be salvageable....

Even the one that looks good is in bad shape. most of the cabinet is de-laminating. It's sad because the artwork is in fairly decent shape. I was a bit worried that they would come apart on the way home in the back of the truck.

I think they need last rites and a proper burial.

Where they were routinly floods every year. I wouldn't doubt it if these both have spent at least one flood season completly submerged.

holy crap.. HUO?!?!?!?!

Yes, considering that the people were living in the 51' trailer that they came out of.:D

So the question of the day is: what is actually salvageable off of those???

Mod pretty much nailed it.

Unfortunately they are both kindling candidates. They both have severe water damage.

The guy also offered us this really cool go-kart that I wish I had taken a picture of.... For the seat he had cut down and anchored on a samsonite folding chair with a padded seat.

"You know you might be a redneck if................."

Could have filled an entire half hour with that one.

Hey Dave,
Nice score! Now, if I could talk you out of the coin door parts on one of those at least one of us will have a 100% fully functional and nice looking Pac Man! :)

Here, here!

If you decide to part out those bad boys, let us know. I see a CP I'd like there.

Word of the day - MINT! Hopefully the monitors and boards work, but those cabs look like they were dragged down the road a while. -Barry

And the wierd part is those coin doors look better than any of the Midway rustbuckets I have laying around. Even my Ghetto cabinet was in more solid shape than those, and it was outside in the weather for 3 months (yet worked perfectly when plugged in - dead mice and all!)

I'd be interested in the monitor bracketry if you part em out.
