Where is the best place to purchase a replacement R-A63ADG25x tube? (25" K7000) Or, is it better to go used assuming you can find one?

I've found that REALLY old TVs might have an oddball one, but most recent ones do.

The one in that ad would likely work. You should ask if you can check it out first, and see if you can read the tube label off the back of the tube thru the vents. Then compare that number in the B&K Adapter listing to see if it's compatible with a CR-23.

If you get really lucky like I did you won't even have to swap the yoke, just cut off the ends and splice together.

So will any old 25" work? Such as this one....

I personally wouldn't pay for $50 a CRT... I guess on DC craigslist maybe I've got a better selection, but I'd just keep an eye out for a free broken 25" TV. If it doesn't work for you, dump it and try again :p . I got a replacement 27" CRT for my SF Rush by just watching for a free broken TV.

If this is still available, maybe ask if you can just take the TV: http://albuquerque.craigslist.org/zip/1683374963.html . You may also try TV repair shops... I've heard people say they've had good luck asking for tubes that were going to be destroyed (it saves them from having to pay to recycle them). And they know that you need specific types, so they're okay with you opening, looking, etc.
