Hey Everyone, thought I would share a quick tip that may be widely known already, but it works great for me.

For cleaning old, grimey Control Panels with browning whites and caked on smokey control panels, white wall tire cleaner works amazingly well. I believe the brand I use is called Bleech, something like that. Just thought I'd throw it out there!

Prob Westley's bleech white - hmm i'll have to check that out, I think I actually have some at the garage. Only thing that would concern me though is I think Westley's has acid in it...did you rinse or at least wipe it off with water afterwards?

A parts cleaner that you will see in any machine shop or mechanics shop works great. No scrubbing and that stuff is all off in about 2 minutes.

Whenever I use the white wall cleaner, I spray it, let it soak for about a minute, and then wipe it off with a paper towel or rag. I then follow up with a little windex to give it an extra shine. Works wonders for me. :)

I follow up all my cp cleanings with Armor All- comes out nice too!

LA's Totally Awesome all purpose cleaner works great.

$1 a bottle at any Dollar Tree store here in the Atlanta Metro area.

Use with a magic eraser and it does miracles on dirty control panel overlays, cleans stuff Windex won't get off.

Works on vinyl sideart also, just spray on, and wipe off with a moist sponge.

Careful on painted or stenciled cabinets though, it might make the paint run. Test on an inconspicuous spot.

I swear by this stuff when I clean cabs. It's supposed to be diluted from the bottle even in spray form but I use it straight. It may as well double as a paint stripper for as strong as it is. I just spray it on and let it work by itself, you can see the dirt just lift from the surface. Even on surfaces that look to be clean already, this stuff will bring the hidden dirt out.
