Just got my first Dixie narco coke machine .I was wondering are the coils supposed to freeze over or are they suppose to just to slowly drip water? I really am not sure and as of right now the coils have ice on them .Both fans are spinning and blowing so just kind of nrevous I had the thermostat set low and the drip pan was filling up day.I turned it up and now i have ice .I have also join a soda machine forum but im waiting to get approval from the admins. Please someone chime in .Any info is good info

total freezeup doesent sound good heh.. Hey id do the basics youd do with your fridge. Clean the hell out of the condensor coils and see if it stops freezing up. also try a thermostat setting in the middle of what youve tried so far

I think it might just need a new thermostat. I am ordering one tomm. Im also going to order new door seals because ive heard of this being a reason too. Its good now the coils are clean and its getting Cold .Ill keep everyone updated .Thanks for the reply .PEACE!!!

Freezing coils could also be a sign of a low charge. If you are filling the condensate pan that much, then there is a good chance the door seal is leaking and too much moisture is getting in the machine. If the compressor is cycling and the product isn't freezing, the thermostat is lickely not the problem. If its a DN with the ribbon coil by the compressor, they are prone to leaks. The evaporator coil inside the machine will get a bad ice buildup on the line right by the expansion valve. My machine at the shop has this issue.. I give it a shot of freon every year and it gets by. Very small leak that has been hard to detect.
