I'm looking to upgrade my Silver Strike Live cab with better hardware (I bought it with the original MSI video card). Does the latest version of SSL support the 1050 card or is it limited to the 750ti?

While I'm thinking about it, do i have to do anything special to update the version of the software after all the hardware upgrades or will it upgrade over Ethernet. I think the current software version is 3.2.6

3.2.7 will do up to engt430 / dg41ty. If you want newer you need the live /ssx for 2.6+ Linux 3.05.5 or so. Can't recall

Ah, okay. I was looking at the p8b75 with the 1050. Is the software the same between that version of SSL and SSX? And the only thing that determines which it is would be the Security chip on the I/O board?

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll have to see which drive is cheaper then since it shouldn't matter. And i have the 1050 already so we'll see how that goes

I'm cautiously optimistic that the 1050 will work because it's listed on a Silver Strike Live parts list sheet from the IT site

To anyone that stumbles across this post, the 1050 works great if you use the recommended one. However, remember that if you are using the HDMI out on it, you won't get audio through the RCAs (if you're using an upright cabinet). It expects to route the audio through the HDMI cable. I believe you need to use the DVI-D output to get analog audio
